mount_tezukaToday is the anniversary of the end of WWII and Obon. Since I am in town this year I will be going to visit the ancestors with my parents and grandfather. Afterward, I may go and sit out in the sun for a bit.
Mt. Everest was...cold. Above all else, cold. Yes, the climb was difficult, the oxygen rare, but it was the cold that hit me the hardest. It was a seep-into-your-bones cold. A day hasn't gone by since my return that I haven't had either a hot bath or a hot shower.
In other news, today was hot and clear and I did three practice sets and my core exercises today. Even though I am not coming back to tennis until after the US Open, I need to stay at the top of my game. It will be good to see everyone again, however.
