My Thanks

As Atobe said, thank you all for the well-wishes, both public and private. Especially to those of you who came to the party Fuji held for me. I was quite surprised and touched.

My best wishes for the coming year for you.

If you hurt Momo, I will sic Fuji on you.

[ooc: strikes not there.]

I know I already said thank you when I returned from the US, Jirou, but thank you again.

I was wondering if you might be available for a light dinner tomorrow evening?
mount_tezuka: (Default)
How are you doing? Has my kitten worn out his welcome yet? I do hope he isn't keeping you up or bothering you.

What do you think of my place? I have a fondness for tatami mats as you can see. It is a bit large for one person though.

Have you figured out a name for kitten-kun yet?
mount_tezuka: (Default)
I am headed to the US Open to compete and cannot take my kitten with me. Not only is he too young, but far too energetic and curious to have alone in my hotel room during the day.

Would...would you be willing to watch him? I know you are still considering moving in with me. You can consider this a dry run, if you like. See if you like the place first.

[ooc: Let's pretend I posted this about four days ago, shall we? :)]

Momoshiro. Atobe. While I appreciate that the two of you were thinking of me, please do not call me the next time you go drinking together.

Thank you.

I've returned from the press-tour after my latest win. I had forgotten that requirement of being ATP #1. But it is worth it.

However, I find that I cannot expose my parents to the increased attention from the press, so I have found a new place to live. Thank you for the assistance, Atobe.

If anyone is looking for a roommate and does not mind that the press will be checking up on me from time to time, I find that I would prefer not to live alone.

I won the French Open which puts my rank at no. 1. Unfortunately this came at the expense of Echizen who was being stalked by someone claiming to be his half-brother.

Jirou, would you be interested in having dinner with me when I return tomorrow?

Festival

Thank you for attending the festival with me, Jirou-kun. I had a lovely time. I hope you enjoy your goldfish. It...matched your yukata very well, I have to say.

Perhaps we can do this again?
mount_tezuka: (Tez6)
I hope that you have an excellent birthday.

Perhaps we could get together for...a meal or something this week? Oh, it's Golden Week, you probably have plans. The following week, perhaps? Your present will keep, I assure you.

Home Again

The good news is that I have been climbing the ranks and am back in the top 5. I've been winning quite steadily at all the tournaments I've been to since Australia.

The bad news is, I am rather exhausted. My manager actually told me to take some time off and recover. Mostly it's the jet lag, so if anyone is interested in a game, please let me know?
mount_tezuka: (Tez2)
Thank you to all of you for your congratulations on my win at the Australian Open. I appreciate it.

Now that I have finished with the press tour, I can start focusing on the next tournament. Although I do remain available for lunch, in case anyone was curious.
mount_tezuka: (Tez1)
Oishi, are you available for lunch tomorrow?

Sanada-san has arranged a birthday party for my Grandfather over at the Sanada residence. My parents and I are looking forward to the event.

[Edited next morning]

Well. It is obvious my Grandfather let his guard down last night. I'm not sure when Sasuke will recover. Too bad brain bleach isn't an actual thing.

Apparently Sanada-san hadn't informed his family about his and my Grandfather's exact relationship. Even having been told that they HAD been in one didn't prepare my Father for the evidence of their current continuation. My Mother is suggesting that they go to a health spa in the mountains for a few weeks. I approve, Father needed a vacation anyway.

As for myself, I sincerely hope that I am that...energetic and enthusiastic when I am their age.

[ooc: I left the WHAT up in the air, hope this works...I can edit if not. Tezuka is in a bit of shock but is also thinking, "way to go Gramps!" ;)]

Happy Birthday.

Apparently a lot has happened since I went incommunicado and up Mt. Everest.

Oishi: My deep sympathies on the loss of your parents. Welcome back to Japan. I am currently available if you'd like to get together for tea.

Inui: Congratulations on becoming a professor at Todai. You don't have my current phone number, do you?

Fuji: I am glad to see that your photography business is doing well. Please take better care of your health.

Kikumaru: I see that teaching is working well for you. Good job.

Kaidou: I am sorry that your girlfriend situation ended like that. ...Would you like to meet for tea?

Momoshiro: Momoshiro...I am glad you are out of the hospital now. You seem to have been through a lot since we last spoke. Kamio is a good man and I am glad to hear you two are together again. ...Tea?

Ryuuzaki: Glad to see that you are doing well at the zoo and I hope your knee is doing better. Don't let your guard down.

[ooc: His door is open to anyone, regardless of if he offered tea or not :-) *hugs Seigaku*]

Today is the anniversary of the end of WWII and Obon. Since I am in town this year I will be going to visit the ancestors with my parents and grandfather. Afterward, I may go and sit out in the sun for a bit.

Mt. Everest was...cold. Above all else, cold. Yes, the climb was difficult, the oxygen rare, but it was the cold that hit me the hardest. It was a seep-into-your-bones cold. A day hasn't gone by since my return that I haven't had either a hot bath or a hot shower.

In other news, today was hot and clear and I did three practice sets and my core exercises today. Even though I am not coming back to tennis until after the US Open, I need to stay at the top of my game. It will be good to see everyone again, however.
